I have been married to a wonderful Christian man since 1976. The Lord has blessed us with two daughters and two sons. I consider each day the Lord gives me on the earth yet another chance to serve Him.

Russian Tea Cakes

My daughter Tonia loves these. So easy to make. I think these cookies are great with a cup of Mexican Hot Chocolate.

(3 dozen)

*1 cup butter, softened
*1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
*6 tablespoons powdered sugar
*2 cups all-purpose flour
*2 tablespoons milk
*1 cup chopped walnuts
*1/3 cup powdered sugar

~Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
~In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter, milk and vanilla until smooth.
~Combine powdered sugar & flour together.
~Mix into butter mixture and mix until just blended.
~Mix in the chopped nuts.
~Roll the dough into 1-inch balls (1 tablespoon).
~Place them onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
~Bake for 11-12 minutes.
~When cookie has cooled, roll into powdered sugar.
