Marshmallow Buttercream Frosting

 Such a good frosting.   I like to make my own Marshmallow fluff for this, but you can you store bought.  I love to put this on brownies and drizzle some caramel over it.   



MARSHMALLOW BUTTERCREAM FROSTING


Ingredients:

*2 cups butter, softened

*2 1/2 cups powdered sugar

*1/2 teaspoon almond extract or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

*1 (14 ounce) jar of marshmallow cream (or make your own Marshmallow fluff)


Directions:

~In a large mixing bowl, cream butter until light yellow and soft and fluffy.

~Add in the powdered sugar and mix until all the lumps are gone and mixture is smooth (I like to sift mine).

~Stir in almond extract.

~Add in marshmallow cream (fluff) and mix until well incorporated and mixture is smooth.

Nutella Buttercream Frosting

 This frosting goes well with chocolate, vanilla and caramel cupcakes.   Quick and easy to make.




NUTELLA BUTTERCREAM FROSTING


Ingredients:

*1 cup butter, softened

*1 cup nutella

*2 1/4 cups powdered sugar, sifted

*1/4 cup heavy cream (can substitute whole milk)


Directions:

~In a large mixing bowl, beat butter until soft and turns a light yellow.

~Mix in Nutella until well incorporated.

~Mix in powdered sugar until well incorporated and smooth.

~Mix in heavy cream until smooth.

Fudge Frosting

 My mom and grandma used to make this frosting.   One of my favorites.  I like to add some chopped walnuts or pecans to the frosting when i'm frosting brownies.  




FUDGE FROSTING

(frosts a 9x13 inch cake or two 8 inch cakes )


Ingredients:

*2 cups granulated sugar

*1 cup unsweetened cocoa

*1/4 teaspoon salt

*1 cup whole milk

*1/2 cup butter, sliced into pieces 

* 1/4 cup light corn syrup

*1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

*3 - 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar


Directions:

~In a medium-large saucepan, mix granulated sugar and cocoa together until well mixed.

~Stir in milk, butter, light corn syrup, and salt.

~Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

~Remove from heat, and cool for 45-50 minutes.

~Beat in vanilla and powdered sugar until mixture is smooth and spreading consistency.

~Frost cooled cake.

Creamy Peanut Butter Frosting

So easy and quick to make and so very good.   Goes great with any chocolate cake or brownies.  I also like it between graham crackers.




CREAMY PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING
(about 3 cups)

Ingredients:
*1/2 cup butter, softened
*1 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
*2 cups powdered sugar
*3-4 tablespoons heavy cream

Directions:
~In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and frosting together until butter is completely mixed in.
~Mix in powdered sugar, until you see no more white (will be very thick).
~Mix 3 tablespoons heavy cream on high until desired spreading consistency.  If it's to thick add another tablespoon of heavy cream and mix well.

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Homemade frosting is so easy and quick to make.  It makes any cake taste better.  Once you try this, you may never buy store bought again.





CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM FROSTING
(makes 4 cups)

Ingredients:

*1/3 cup butter
*2 1/4 cups powdered sugar
*2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
*1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
*1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
*2 1/4 - 2 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream

Directions:
~Mix all ingredients until smooth and to your desired consistency.
~Spread on cake, cookies or brownies.
